You are so sweet :)
Look what I got today, how lucky am I? They are called fire and ice roses. I love them! And even better, they weren't dead, wink wink. He will get that. Aren't they absolutely beautiful? But honey, I don't have the hard part here. I've got 2 absolutely wonderful kids to keep my heart full. My mind a little scattered, yes. For every 3 things they do to drive me nuts, they do one small amazing thing to make me happy. This will pass, and will be a small memory soon. Besides, how many moms can say they know there kids as well as i know mine? You just caught me on a crazy day. It was our blah, vegetative day, formerly known as pajama day. I guess we could now call it midget dresses herself day :)
Thank you masterchief, ha ha.
I did watch a good movie on comcast, compliments of dh. Thank you. The family that preys. Very cute. Alfre woodard is in it, and she said something neat. Be careful how you talk to strangers, because they could always be an angel in diquise. I thought that was very sweet. Something to think about anyway. I try to be nice to everyone, and i try to teach the kids that. They seem to do so, if not too nice:) We are southern, so that is a big thing here.

The sisters are here...
She's very proud of the misssing tooth :)
There is the family, even the dog.
The silbings together.
The kids and I went down to the pizza place so they could see grandpa's sisters. They had a great time "helping" with the pizzas and getting to know the aunts again. The midget had a lose tooth, and after much harassment by grandpa and one fo the sisters she just yanked it out herself at dinner! She is way braver than i am. Grandpa made some "awesome" hamburgers according to the monkey. Grammie enjoyed having all the grandkids running wild. The monkey and midget loved the aunts. Midget loved one for her stories, and her creative side. She is a creative kid herself. the other aunt is alot like grandpa, a party in herself :) They all had a great time.

stuck at home..
We are stuck at home waiting for the people to come so I can sign papers on refinancing the house. Crummy timing :( We've seen all the good movies on the pay per view, played all the games, and are bored. Sad really, there is a house full of things to do, but now that i know we have to stay here and wait, i think the walls are closing in on us....
It's for a purpose, i must remind myself.
Since when is my sweet little midget such a tattle tale?? And when will my sweet little monkey learn the skill of being sneaky enough to get away with stuff? I seriously believe this is a skill, and other kids do just as many naughty things, they just know how to get away with it. He always gets caught. Is he just not quick enough or what?

more pictures
Here are a couple more pictures from the past couple of days. How cute are the baby ducks though? I just wondered why there were only 2 of them.
spring break
Well it's very hard to keep the kids busy, and from being "bored". Although i have to say they do come up with ways to entertain themselves, for that i am grateful. Mr. monkey has taken to cutting up boxes and making them into a solder-transformer thing. They have also vowed to kill the ants in the backyard. This one i am keeping an eye on, it could get a little sticky :)
We went to the park yesterday and fed the ducks, there are a ton of them out there. There were even little baby ones, and oh were they cute! Monkey was very protective of them, and kept telling the midget and i to get away we were scaring them. Who knew at the ago of 9 he was all knowing on the matter of ducks too. We went to grandma's where he proceeded to nearly beat her at checkers. grandma whooped the midget at checkers, i guess there is no letting the little ones when with her...
Today we went to my favorite place, i mean the kids favorite place. The children's museum. They had some new exhibits, and wow were they cool! The kids had an absolute blast, and so did I. They have a kid city, and you get money and can make more doing jobs. It's a really neat idea, was a little crowded though. They loved the news station. You could even record and play back yourself on the news! It was tons of fun, and all were exhausted when we got home, thank goodness.

SUDS
p.s. I saw this on the news this morning, this group is amazing. I thought my wonderful husband might want to see it. They are a group called suds. Soldiers undertaking disabled scuba diving. IT was so amazing, and touching to watch. They teach the disabled soldiers to scuba dive. They all said how wonderful and freeing it felt to be underwater. The website has a clip of the news broadcast, it is really touching. What a wonderful thing for them to do for our soldiers.

It's Spring Break!!! Woohoo! The kids came home not to find the house, but to be greeted and welcomed to "Le Mom's Resort". We used grandpa's white board (best thing ever grandpa :) and wrote a sign, and told them all the fun things we can do here. Granted they are things we can always do here, but it sounds better when you can make it look like a hotel. I had put flowers out, and cookies with drinks. They thought it was the coolest thing ever, sometimes they are so easy to please. That is nice :) I put little signs over the t.v. and said it was an arcade, and the bathroom is now a spa. I even got some cucombers for their eyes, they have seen that on t.v. and in magazines and always ask why people do that. I've never done that, so i am curious to see too. We aren't going anywhere out of town, so i thought this might make being home a little more exciting. I also got mario kart and wii music. Only problem being the little midget girl has fallen obssesed with the wii music. It is neat though, you can record video of yourself playing in the screen.
The children's museum has some new exhibits, so we will head out there. Grammie and grandpa have relatives coming, so we will go that way also. The kids are happy just running around outside, and playing with the neighbor kids. It must be good to be little.

Irish princess and public restrooms
"Everyone loves an Irish Girl"
How cute is she with her little irish shirt? Sure who knows if she really has any irish in her. My mil says they are finish i think? As for me who knows, i believe I've heard the phrase heinz 57. With that hair, and that gorgeous skin and freckles she has, we'll go with irish. Why not? Besides, it's a fun holiday, and a cute shirt. Why not have fun with it? I think i am going to go find the cake dye and turn their eggs green in the morning. I should probably have some cerreal back up though, knowing my adventsursome duo i can here a "i'm no eting that". Or the more renound "eewww, i'm not eeaatting that, nnnoooooo" scream/whine. The midget has mastered that one, she can whine/scream with the best of them now. I think it is funny though, as i have heard the same sound in public and had to turn because it sounded so much like her, only to see it is nother girl around her age :) So she is right on track, or the others are off track also.
This weekend in honor of the 2 genuis children i have, we went to eat at a local pizza/hamburger joint. I won't name names, however it is BIG HUM(*&^%'s. I thought i was being a good mom, and letting go of the reins a bit. The monkey needed to go to the restroom, and i can see it from our table. So i let him go to the men's alone. I can see, and it's a family place. He come's out a while later, asking what suck my you know what means, and tell's me all these horrible trashy things you would expect to see at a rest stop on the side of the road in L.A. I couldn't believe it!! This is a nice little place. Now it's out there, he's seen it. He's curious, and thinks he has found the ultimate shock and awe. As I am pretty sure i had the biggest shock an dawe look of my life as he told me. I suggested to the people when i called if they want it to be a family place to clean it up. I offered my magic eraser, and said i wished i could magic erase it from my son's mind. I then threatened my son within an inch of his life, that if i get a call from school today hearing he repeated, wrote or even mentioned any of the things he saw he would be in a world of trouble. I think it worked as i didn't get that call. Thank god, or anyone else who helped with that one :)
p.s. Sorry to the monkey, but you are stuck with the ladies restrooms with me, or a family restrrom until you are 30 now!

They are so great..
My liittle whiz kids. They both got all A's, or +'s in the midgets case. I'm so proud of those two. Even monkey boys conduct was good. The midget got another certificate for all E's in conduct all year long. We lost the perfect attendance one thanks to strep throat. That was alot of pressure though, so that was kind of liberating not to maintain perfect attendance. With my mom being a school nurse I had that for several years. "You threw up? Good you will feel better now, go to school". It's nice to play hookey every once in a while. I think a special day with mom or dad every once in a while is a good thing. When midget missed school with strep, but she was feelig better we went and had lunch, got pedicures and went shopping. I'm sure her teacher was thrilled with that :)
The monkey's favorite hookey day activity is to browse barnes and noble. He is truly mine, as this is what melon and i would always do on our nights out. Wild and crazy aren't we. Bar's, no we would go sit in the book store and look at all the books. Once a nerd always a nerd i guess. Now i have to watch for the monkey, he picks up my books and starts reading them. I don't read total trash books, but it's al little more than i care to explain at the moment. I still say 9 is the new 14.

FLEO 3 - "Lock yer stuff up"
{ah... the things that stick with you over time} There was this old military movie, Full Metal Jacket. The drill instructor quite frankly tells a recruit, "If it weren't for people like you not locking your stuff up, there wouldn't be any thievery in this world." In other words, Fleo's gotta make sure that all his important stuff is nicely put up and sealed with a shiny new lock.
FLEO 2 - flying Fleo:)
Monkey in a ball
We were rather bored, and what better way to spend a saturday than kicking your family memebers around in a ball from a swing?? The midget thought this was so much fun, and he seemed to love it too.
oh how fun...
the monekys says,,,,he, he, he.. the ball is my head :)
How fun does this thing look like? I mean who wouldn't want to get in and roll around in a big ball? If i wasn't so worried i'd pop it, i would so be in that thing. I haven't heard them laugh like that in so long..I was all ready to go drag them in for fighting, but alas, it was laughing:) After the sadness of you know who, going you know where...we needed some good laughs.

TAKS Test
I HATE the taks test. I think it is the biggest disaster, and a disgrace to education. The amount of pressure put on the test, and my child is ridiculous. A teacher sure not be allowed to tell my child he needs to do well on the test, or she won't get a bonus. If she was truly doing her job, if said bonus was required, she should get it anyway. He should not be worrying about her getting it. Nor should the school year be spent teaching student y to catch up for the test while students a x are bored out of their minds because they already know the things being tested on. It just infuriates me.
So now, at 5:30, my son is finally home from taking the ridiculous test, and was at school from 7:45, until 5:25 p.m. Does that seem right? I don't think when i was a child i was allowed, or made to stay until dinnertime to finish a test. Do they really think that after 8 or 9 hours they are working at the best of their abilities? Or are they more likely so tired they are staring at the letters on the pages blurring together? Maybe chewing the erasers on their number 2 pencils which are required, and staring at the ceiling. I am sure however the pep rally given the day before made for an inspirational feeling towards the glorious taks test. I know a pep rally would have inspired me...
