Best kids ever :)

I've been in a bit of a daze since my dental work. But i have to say I have two of the best kids in the world. Midget took orders from my mom, and next time i turn around she is in her dress up dr's coat, with her clipboard. She had all the directions written down. So adorable! i'll have to scan it later to put up here. She is such a good helper. And my little man, such a big guy now. He made dinner for he and his sister, the fine dining cuisine of ramen noodle soup. The next night, we broadened his menu to include easy mac. The cherry on top was when he said it was hard to get dinner ready when his sister was bugging him every 5 seconds. Really??? i never have had that happen ;)

We played outside some this weekend, since the weather was so nice. Midget was feeling a little under the weather, so it wasn't for long. But it was so nice while it lasted!

ugh...the dentist

I got bad news today. Last night i had a shooting pain in a tooth. So this morning i summoned all my courage and went to the dentist. Never good news... So monday i have to go back and get some work done. I'd rather not think about it. With the hubster gone, not sure how we are going to work this. Other than that life is peachy here, minus the shooting pain :) We went and saw tooth fairy, ironic isn't it? :) IT was pretty funny, and now midget wants some amnesia dust desprately!

oh no..

Ok, so i might be the worst mom ever... Or the most over-protective, paranoid. Monkey's school is having a "winter b all". He is 10. He doesn't really like girls. He is starting too, and his friends too. The ones who are starting to like the girls are the ones with older siblings who have girlfriends. Well, he mentioned it and said his friend was going, and did i think he should go. He didn't realize it was a dance, kids were going to dance with boy/girl. I wasn't ready for it, i didn't even know there was a dance. So i said do you want to go with a girl, he said no. I lied, i flat out lied... I said i'd already bought tickets for a movie he wanted to see and we had reservations for joe's crab shack. It just came out, i don't know why. Well, i do it's back to the over - protective, paranoid part. So he said that sounds better. Out of guilt he's bringing a friend too :)
p.s. he really doesn't like the girls, it's all peer pressure. he was "going out with a girl" for 2 days. she broke up with him, he didn't want to call her on the phone, because she was boring he said. :)
p.s.p.s. Don't judge me.... i was caught off guard and had no time to go to dr. phil.com to see what age is ok for dances ;) kidding.

Update: just so you know, his best friend isn't getting to go, so i am not the only overprotective one :) Maybe we should all start a support group.

The sun is out!!

Finally after a week of cloudy skies, and blaf weather the sun is out. I think after we talk to the big man we will go to the park, and to see the princess and the frog. I don't know how we've gone this long without seeing it.
Hubby's contract is up in march, so we will see what happens with that. All i can say is "auf wiedersehen" to all this being apart :)
Off to enjoy the sun!
