The pics below are from the nutcracker ballet. We all went this year. The kids loved it. The pic of them sleeping, is how they slept on xmas eve. He ended up wanting to sleep in her room with the cat, to stay up all night for santa. :)
















Christmas is over, It was tiring! The kids had alot of fun, and gor all the things they really wanted. Midget got her bitty twins, and her new bike. Monkey got his rail, and his ipod. How grown up is that? :( The best thing was seeing their dad. It was so great to have him home! can't wait to all be together again. We had some friends over, the blond man, was here. He's been our saving grace while dad was away. He's helped with school projects, car trouble, trick or treating. Paulie came over with his little boy, and oh my gosh, he is the cutest baby ever! Midget and monkey, they fell in love. They both wanted to keep him here, so did i I :) Absolutely adorable!
So now we will finish winter break, and get b ack to normal for a bit.

More xmas...

WE've had so much fun the past week. It's been crazy, but fun. This is my new favorite pic of the kids and their dad. How cute are they? Don't you love the strike a pose midget made?
I'll have to post the rest of the pictures later. My wonderful hubby got me the most beautiful present ever for xmas and our anniversary, and it's big so the next few also :) On Jan 14 we will have been married for 15 years!
Off to do some more baking for the neighbors and the big man in the red suit!

Xmas fun :)

We've been crazy busy around here!! We've had class parties, cookies to make, presents to make and buy. Midget had a ballet show, that was really neat. she got to see the bigger girls dance on their toe shoes. She was completely memerized. IT's been a madhouse, fun though. We've been to the nutcracker, seen a festival of lights, all kinds of holiday fun.

long weekend

We had a busy weekend. Went to a birthday party for some good friends twin girls. Midget loves those babies. It's awfully sweet. Their son is 2 weeks younger than monkey is. So it feels as if after all the years of parties and weddings we are family in a way. I love her mom, and they are such awesome grandparents. They took monkey to a xmas concert with them. 5 kids they took! He had lots of fun, but he got scared at their house so at 11 i went in a sleep stuper to pick him up. He was embaressed, but it was no big deal. He's slept there before, so must of been a movie or something :)
Midget and i went and got his xmas present for him from her. her dad gave her a certain amount, and she picked a good one! He has been snooping under the tree and has deemed himself an C.P.I. = Certified Present Inspector.

Snow

We had quite a bit of it!! They even got to make a small snowman. these two mean, evil teen girls kicked it over! Poor midget watched them do it from the window, crying. It was awful. I ran out and asked them if it felt good to make a 7 yr old cry. I had to stop monkey from running after them. Other than that though, they had tons of fun!!

elf update

Our elf Fred has been busy! A little bit of a trouble maker too! here are a couple places he has turned up..


He ossed some laundry, and ended up in Monkey's room with his laptop watching you tube movies. he's also been caught riding on my elephant statue.
Big news here, it's snowing here! It's just mixed with rain now, but it' 100% chance!! So cross your fingers they let te kids out early, or we might have to have a dr's appt ;)

Friday Night: A chance of rain and snow before 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 31. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Now I know the odds are slim, but still it's exciting at the chance.

Meet Fred, our shelf elf.

Here he is, the kids named him Fred. He is our shelf elf. Sent here to keep an eye on the kids for Santa. He tends to be mischevious and we never know where he will emd up!


This is where he turned up this morning. Midget found him in the box of twinkies. Monkey said he had heard a noise in the night, and it must have been Fred. They cant wait to see where he will show up tomorrow!

Decking the halls :)

We pent the last half of the week getting the house all decked out for Christmas. Monkey spent the night early in the week. Midget and I couldn't take it anymore, so we broke out the Chritmas village. It's one of our favorite things. We got the first few houses almost 15 years ago from hubby's mom. They were his grandma'. She actally made them. It's nice howing the kids her initialson the buildngs. We got the tree up, and the lights up outside. We even added a few pieces. o the halls are getting decked for xmas!! It's all so exciting, and the kids can hardly wait for christmas.

Twilight...aahhhh

I went and saw the new Twilight movie this morning. Wow....ahh... Edward. I think there was too much Jacob. I have to say i like the whole Bella and Edward love story side. So all this werewolf nonsense, not so much. IT is too much unrequited love for my taste. I loved all the Edward parts. I think i will absolutely love the next one, so i can't wait for that. Midget is thrilled to learn that her Taylor, is dating my taylor from my books.
we are going to go see planet 51 and Blind side this week on the break. Woohoo a week out of school!!!

Boards and Ballerina's

Here are some new pics for dad of the little ones. Who aren't so little anymore!! Monkey is jumping in dance class, and it is so funny to watch her. She is doing really well though. You can't tell but she is alot younger than the other ones. She is doing well, and is practicing for her open house. She loves the helpers in there. Poor midget has to sit and wait, with all the girls running around. I imagine in a few years he wouldn't mind that so much. He spends the time drawing. A good outlet. Of course all is fair, she has to wait through tae kwan do. :)

Fun weekend for all!

We all had a good weekend. Midget got to go to her ballet friends bday party at build-a-bear. She had such a good time, and they each got to make an animal. She, of course, picked a horse. She is looking forward to going over to her friend's house soon. They have 18 acres and a horse! Midget will be latched on for life now. she was quick to tell her mom, that she knows how to take care of the horses as she learned this at horse camp. :) When we got home monkey nwas thrilled that his friend wanted him to spend the night. So he got to have some friend time too. Midget and i went to eat mexican food and snuggled up on the couch to watch a movie. Some girl time :)
We spent sunday cleaning the house, it needed it! A nice relaxing, but fun weekend!!
P.s. She lost her other front tooth!!

IT's friday!!! Woohoo!! Only one more week until thanksgiving break!! I don't know who is more excited the kids or me. Then we get to start all the fun christmas stuff. I can't wait! They have been dying to go see the new christmas carol movie, but i refuse to see it before thanksgiving. That's just wrong. We are so looking forward to seeing the new movie the blind side also. It's about a woman who takes in a homeless teen. He ends up being awoderful guy, and a pro football player. IT has tim McGraw in it too :) The commercials make me cry, should be good. The kids want to see it too. A good learning lesson for them i think.
The weather has been amazing, i hear it will get hot tomorrow, and then cool off again. I would love some sweater weather though.
Should have some good pics this weekend. Lots going on, parties with some friends at build a bear. I'm sure monkey will be learning to tricks on his board. He's working hard on it.

Skate contest and the Zoo

We have had a busy couple days!! We had the 1st grade field trip to the zoo. I helped chaperone so we had our group of girls. They nwere sweet. They got a little whiny and tired after a while. It's alot of walking for little legs. Midget got to ride the bus for the first time ever. She was excited, but she rode hom with me. We had some girl time before picking monkey up from school.
Friday night i found out the skate contest i had planned on taking monkey to was much bigger than i thought, and might sell out. So we ran over there to get tickets.
It worked out well, he got to skate with some pros!! They also premiered a movie about a skate pro who had died named tim brauch. So we went to the big skate jam. My mom watched midget so we could go. It was an all day thing with tons of freebies. We must havv gotten 30 stickers, 6 tshirts, lots of autographs. He was in heaven. Those guys were so nice to him. They all helped him learn tricks. So he had the best day ever. That was worth it. All th money went to the make a wish foundation. They raised over 100,000 dollars!

It turns out midget's new dance studio has a winter show also. A small one at the studio. She is so excitd. I can't believe how much she has learned there already. She abslutely loves it. She is leaping all over everywhere practicing, it's pretty funny. She reminds me of an antelope for some reason.... i mean that in the nicest way.
Monkey is all over this skateboarding obsession. He wants to be on his board day and night. That is one nerve wracking hobby for me. I guess it makes sense his dad loved it too. It seems all the middle aged dads do also. They all try to hop on and show him tricks. I eep reminding them, if you get hurt, not my fault :)
I love this time of year, the weather is nice. I love the colors too. It's almost december, i can't believe it. Weve trudged along and survived! Woo-hoo! I can't wait for he thanksgiving break. Relaxing times...

Halloween

The kids had so much fun!!! Midget looked so cute, and was so prissy in her Jasmine outfit. She has no idea who Jeanie is, so when people said are you Jeanie, she was offended :) It was cute. Monkey wanted to be something scary, so dracula it was. No sparkly vapires for him. As Bob says, "vampires don't sparkle". In my world they do ;)
I had a hard time doing the make-up. Glitter make-up, i can do. Gory vampire dripping blood, it was a new extreme. I think i did ok, i googled how to do it. I'm a nerd, i admit it. I didn't want to embaress him, with a bad make-up job. We even dyed the hair for the night. He liked it alot. It freaked me out a bit, so not him. That's the point though, for a night be someone diffeent, so he went with it! Bob came with us, and that was fun. We missed our big man, but he is so much fun. The kids adore him. We left the bowl ofcandy on the door, and hoped for the best. Mom was earing up for hers, so we had no gradnparents voluteering to give out the candy. She was totally freaked by monkeys hair and make up, it was pretty funny :)
We had gone to the fall carnival at the ymca, and the childrens museum the week before. So it was a great halloween for the kids. Now onto a more relaxed holiday, Thanksgiving. Then xmas, who knows where will be then ;)
